Tent Only
Best for: solitude, weekend camping
Nine tent sites along Rock Creek, shaded and quiet, with vault toilets and fire rings — Frank Gross is the kind of small USFS campground that doesn't show up on most people's radar. Just off GA-60 south of Suches, the short gravel road in is manageable by passenger car, and the first-come-first-served policy keeps it low-key. No hookups, no reservations, no crowds most weeknights.
Camper Notes
When Cooper Creek and Lake Winfield Scott are packed on a summer weekend, Frank Gross is the quiet alternative in the same corridor. It's the campground for people who'd rather hear Rock Creek than their neighbors.
