Set on a mountain lake along GA-180 between Suches and Blairsville, Lake Winfield Scott is one of the strongest anchor campgrounds in North Georgia. Around 32 sites handle tents and RVs, with flush toilets in season and a swimming beach that makes summer weekends feel like summer camp. An AT trailhead sits nearby for hikers, and the paved access road makes the drive easy from Dahlonega. Reservations are strongly recommended — this one fills.
