One of Georgia's oldest and most popular state parks, Vogel sits at the base of Blood Mountain on US-19 south of Blairsville. The 103 campsites include electric hookups, flush toilets, and hot showers — and the park's lake, trail network, and camp store round out a facility list that's hard to beat. Cottages are available for non-campers. Year-round operation means winter camping is an option, though the peak season from May through October is when the park comes alive. Book well in advance.

Camper Notes

Vogel is the anchor for the Blairsville area and one of the most complete campgrounds in the North Georgia mountains. Electric hookups, hot showers, a lake, trails to Blood Mountain — it's the campground that works for everyone from first-timers to seasoned weekend regulars.
