Deep Creek sits at the southern entrance to Great Smoky Mountains National Park, just minutes from Bryson City. Ninety-two sites accommodate tents and RVs along the creek, with flush toilets, fire rings, and easy access to three nearby waterfalls. In summer, the creek doubles as a tubing run — families float right past the campground. Paved road in, reservations required, and it fills fast from April through October.

Camper Notes

If you want the Smokies without the Gatlinburg side, Deep Creek is your entry point. Waterfall hikes start from the campground, Bryson City is nearby for supplies, and the creek tubing keeps kids occupied for hours. It's the most family-friendly anchor in the western NC coverage area.
